How it works

Why does CodeQuest send me to another page to log in?

Authentication is handled by Keycloak. After login, the CodeQuest BFF creates a browser session and returns you to the platform without exposing access tokens to the frontend.

What is the difference between the two challenge types?

Algorithm challenges run language submissions through Judge0. Frontend challenges run HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a live workspace with browser-based behavior and visual tests.

How do paid courses and plans unlock?

CodeQuest displays a Bakong KHQR code for paid access. The course or subscription becomes available after the payment is confirmed.

Where do XP, coins, stars, and badges come from?

They are awarded from configured learning and challenge outcomes. Coins can also be used to unlock hints on supported challenges.
